MY STORY
Who is J R Vocals?
Hello my name is Jessica Rachael Cunnah, I am a strong arts and business professional with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Music from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. In 2018, within a year of graduating I set up my business teaching vocals, song-writing and music lessons, from my fully equipped studio based in the North West.
Skilled in singing, songwriting, teaching, and performing. Having first released a crowdfunded EP at just 17 years old, to a one to one song writing session with none other than Sir Paul McCartney. I am proud of my achievements over the last few years and aim to bring this experience to all aspects of my work.
My aim is to not only improve a student’s understanding of music and vocal technique, but a safe space for creativity, artist development and confidence building. Having grown up in Thornton-Cleveleys, I was aware of the lack of opportunities for young musicians like myself and after graduating wanted to bring back some of the priceless information and skills I had learnt at LIPA.
I am an experienced artist with a demonstrated history of working in the music industry. Having performed locally since the age of 15, to larger scale performances around the UK including “The Tour De France Grand Opening Party”, “Blackpool Rocks Music Festival”, “Liverpool Sound City Conference” and headlining Paul McCartney’s Auditorium for LIPA’s “2ube Extra”.
